5 Questions before creating a vision board
or setting any goals in your life for happiness and fulfilment.
For the past eight years, I have been teaching people how to create vision boards and bring their dreams to life.
It is a process I have done for over 20 years, and still, every year as my visions manifest into reality, I ask myself,
“Why didn’t I dream bigger?”
Forgetting how powerful the process is.

Creative visualisation can help reprogram old beliefs and eliminate negative patterns, making it a powerful tool for achieving your goals.
On Sunday evening, I began creating a vision board with my partner—we have some huge goals and visions for the next three years, and it is the first time in my life I have co-created a vision board.
I want to share with you a part of the process that challenged him as he just wanted the “bright shiny objects.” The important part is understanding what those actually give you—the feelings and emotions—and how you can choose to have those now, which is the real power of manifestation.
Before finding pretty pictures of stunning destinations, dream homes, and cars, I invite you to answer these questions to uncover what truly fulfils you:
What were you last excited about? (Think about people, places, events, or things that make you excited.)
What was the last thing you learned that helped you grow?
What would you like to learn more about? This could be a course, life skills, business advice, a culture, or simply a recipe.
Money is a flow of energy that enables us to survive in today’s world. How would your next 12 months look different if there were an endless supply? (Maybe your life is amazing right now, so it could be a private chef, personal trainer, or personal assistant.)
What do you enjoy doing for other people?
(I’ll share my answers in the comments for inspiration).
This is the core of what brings you happiness; from here we can begin to dream about how we could 10x our lives to bring us more freedom, connection, and peace.
"You are never too old to set another goal or to dream a new dream."
– C.S. Lewis
This is also the core of developing your personal brand and business. There is no point in creating a brand that isn’t aligned to the life you want to create, or we risk feeling out of alignment, burnt-out, unfulfilled, and other areas of our life such as relationships, health, or home suffer.
Think of your vision board as a garden. If you plant without considering the soil, sunlight, and water, the flowers might bloom briefly but wither quickly. True manifestation requires understanding the environment that nurtures your desires.
After multiple burnouts and now learning to create and serve from having a calm nervous system, it is crucial in the busy world we live in to have a holistic view of our business and make sure it is working to serve all areas of our lives.
